The drum separator is designed for separating large elements from the granulated fertilizers of required gauge.

The separator can be installed before the entry onto the bucket elevator or under the outlet from the elevator, i.e. before the packing unit hopper. The separator consists of a slowly rotating drum sieve with 2 mm or denser mesh.

The longitudinal axis is tilted parallel with the direction of the flow. The material is fed from the top point of the sieve; during rotation the required material passes through the sieve and the waste falls out at its end.
