Big bale press

A stationary bale press is used to pack the sorted peat and peat substrates into large-volume big bales. The peat of the appropriate fraction is loaded with a wheeled front loader or dropped through diverting drop gate into the hopper of the baler. The hopper is equipped with a hinged sidewall, a moving floor, an agitator and an adjustable gate. The peat or substrate drops out of it onto an inclined belt conveyor, which conveys the raw material to the upper weighed buffer hopper of the baler. The material is then dosed into the press chamber. Pressing takes place in the lower chamber of the press directly on the pallet.

The bale press packs the sorted peat or substrate into big bales with a compressed size of 3.5 - 6 m3 and works fully automatically. The material is ram-pressed with a force of up to 60 tons, then the pressed material is wrapped with stretch film with welded bottom and top, or filled into a PE bag which is welded at the top. The press is controlled by a UNITRONIC control system with a 12-panel touchscreen display. An integral part of the press is a hydraulic unit that controls the pressing process. After the baling process is completed, the big bale is discharged by a roller conveyor.
