Palletizing

The palletization node can be designed in two different ways; either as an automatic palletizer, or as a robotic workstation. The configuration to be used depends on the type of palletized material, the required operation, and spatial capacity.

Palletizer

Palletizer is a machine that gradually stacks the packaged goods in layers and moves individual layers onto a pallet. After the predefined layers are stacked and straightened, the pallet moves on to a wrapping station. The palletizer aligns each layer so that the external dimensions of the pallet are adhered to. Every palletizer is equipped with an automatic stacker of empty pallets making sure that an empty pallet is slid in the position for palletization. Low level infeed palletizer straightens the layer that is then moved onto an already stacked pallet. High infeed palletizer straightens the top layer, and a semi-straightened pallet slides down, which allows for a higher performance of the palletizer.

Robotic workstation

Robotic workstation stacks goods onto a pallet using a robotic arm with predefined programmes for individual stacking layouts. The robot picks the package from the delivery point fed from buffer and places them onto the straightening bench. Prior to stacking of the first package, an empty pallet is automatically shifted to the straightening bench. After the pallet is fully loaded and  straightened, it moves on to be fixed with wrapping film (by means of a wrapping machine or stretch hood). Depending on the performance of the robotic workstation we design the entire system, propose the number of the robots, and the control of the entire palletization process including remote access and data export of the quantity and type of the palletized goods.
